WELCOME TO FARKSLOANIA

Please enjoy my reveries in all their inept beauty. As I get to grips with HTML, please also enjoy my evident lack of digital proficiency. As a result, when I meet my maker (American supermodel, entrepreneur and coding advocate Karlie Kloss) please go gently and know that this website was nothing more than a self- serving ego trip.

Farksloania takes it's name from Barbara Newhall Follett's imaginary world Farksolia from her 1927 novel The House Without Windows - a beautiful mediation on our often volatile affair with the natural world

She invisioned Farksolia at the age of seven and a mere five years later put pen to it. While her sheer level of wunderkind frankly digusts me, her visionary spirit stimulates this currently ill defined website.

Because what's greater than ripping off the intellectual virtuoso of an author who's short and ultimately tragic life ended in her disappearance at age 25? These creative foundations have all the hallmarks of a long and fruitful blog.

Enjoy!!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MR PRESIDENT

Deep in academic induced mania, I got into Bassvictim. Dire times seem at present, the only isolated moments that I am able to not only enjoy electronic music, but crave it. Now I don't pertain to be superior to the genre no, my hesitation stems instead from a denial of it's primal qualities. It's unlistenability outside the context of an Eastern European warehouse intrigues me. Humans so rarely intentionally create something so grating. Unintentional works of jarr are commonplace in any self respecting creative community, but it's electronic's transcendence of this oblivion that I find particularly captivating. The genre possesses a wholehearted aesthetic rejection of all that is conventionally well regarded.

Not a particularly glowing review, aye? Please lord don't let Bassvictim's thugs catch wind of these estimations. I can't become a mere casualty of the bass-punk industrial complex.
